How to keep up with The Rental Show

Whether it’s on Facebook, TheRentalShow.com or the Rental Pulse Daily e-newsletter, there are several ways to keep up with what’s happening at The Rental Show while you’re in Orlando, Fla.

If you have a smartphone, iPad or other tablet, you can download The Rental Show app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play — search for “The Rental Show 2014.” You’ll also be able to download it on site via a QR code posted at registration. Features include:

  • A searchable exhibitor directory that allows you to create a list of exhibitors you want to visit, add notes and find their location on the show floor.
  • Show floor map.
  • Show schedule — including seminars, Events & Tents and show events.
  • Customizable schedule, where you can add seminars and events as well as your own appointments and export it to your calendar.
  • A link to The Rental Show Twitter feed.
  • Updates from the American Rental Association (ARA), including any last-minute changes on site.

New features that will be beneficial on site include:

  • Express barcode if you’ve already registered, which you can scan at the Already Registered counter to print your badge.
  • A “Scan Exhibitor” QR code feature you can utilize on the show floor to scan the code on an exhibitor’s badge so you can keep track of who you’ve visited.
  • The ability to mark a booth on your “My Exhibitors” list as visited, to help you keep track on the show floor.

To fully utilize all features of the app — including the express barcode and creating your own schedule — you will need to be logged in with the email address used for registration and your registration confirmation ID. Your registration confirmation includes this information.

The Rental Show 2014 app is sponsored by Rouse Analytics.

Show resources

Show resources available in Orlando

The Rental Show Directory and The Hot List new product supplement will be available at Registration with additional copies available on the exhibit show floor and publication bins during The Rental Show 2014 scheduled for Feb. 9-12 at the Orange County Convention Center North-South Building.

The Hot List is an annual product supplement to Rental Management and is designed to highlight products and services from The Rental Show exhibitors that are new to the rental industry or are redesigned to include new enhancements that deliver an improved level of performance. To qualify for The Hot List 2014, products — new, enhanced or redesigned — must be new to the rental industry from the previous show. The 147 products and services listed this year were selected from a record number of those submitted by The Rental Show exhibitors to Rental Management for consideration. The participating company must be the manufacturer or exclusive distributor of the product. Products with cosmetic changes, new packaging or graphics are not eligible. Products in The Hot List are grouped according to the area of the exhibit floor where the company is located — Construction/Industrial, General Tool/Homeowner and Party/Special Event — in addition to pages specifically for those offering software products or new services. The Hot List was distributed with the January issue of Rental Management and copies will be available on site at The Rental Show.

The Rental Show Directory contains everything attendees need to know in order to make the most of their experience at The Rental Show in Orlando. In addition to a complete listing of exhibitors, their booth numbers and Show-Only Specials, the Directory includes a comprehensive schedule of events and descriptions of the educational sessions as well as maps of the Orange County Convention Center and information about navigating the Convention Center and Orlando attractions. It also contains details about Events & Tents, the ARA Foundation Auction and the keynote session. The Directory contains additional information that can be used after the show, such as exhibitor contact information and the products they offer, and information about American Rental Association (ARA) board members, committee members and staff members. The Rental Show Directory is magazine-size this year and will be handed out at Registration with additional distribution on the show floor.
