“These scholarships, which are specifically for those who want to pursue careers in this industry, can help turn a dream of education into a reality,” says Jenni Venema, ARA Foundation director of development. “Plus, many students receive more than one scholarship, which can offer additional assistance. It is definitely worth a student’s time to apply.”
Whether going to college, community college or vocational/technical school, tuition for higher education can be expensive. These scholarships are designed to make a difference by making school more affordable.
Several students have found it worth their while to apply.
“These scholarships are not something to pass up because they have helped me tremendously in funding my college education and in learning more about the rental business,” says Libby Gajewski with C & S Party Rentals d/b/a Party Plus Tent & Event Rentals, Biddeford, Maine. Gajewski was the recipient of both the ARA Foundation Undergraduate and ARA Insurance scholarships for a total of $4,000 in funds for the 2013-2014 school year.
“Everyone should apply. It is definitely worthwhile. These scholarships help a ton and applying helps you understand what the rental industry is all about,” says Tyler Arlinghaus with Art’s Rental Equipment, Newport, Ky. Arlinghaus was the recipient of the ARA Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship for a total of $2,000 for the 2013-2014 school year. He has won ARA Foundation scholarships every year for the past four years of his college education.
