U.S. Tent Rental showcases what it offers

Event also raises money for wheelchair sled hockey team

Event title: “Couldn’t have done it without ya!” theme extravaganza.

Date and location: Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at U.S. Tent Rental’s 20,000-sq.-ft. warehouse in Sarasota, Fla.

Background: “This over-the-top party featured cutting-edge event lighting, tents, décor, linens and more,” says Tim Boyle, CERP, vice president, U.S. Tent Rental. “All proceeds benefited the wheelchair Florida Sled Hockey Team and focused on the strong partnerships U.S. Tent Rental personnel has created with its many clients over the past 12 years.”

Sponsors of the event included Café Ala Carte, Café L’Europe, Concept Bait, Flowers by Fudgie, Imely Photography and Video, LEDPRO Services, Mattison’s, Michael’s On East, Milan Catering, Minuteman Press, Nellie’s Catering, Paramount Power, Plant Parents, Polo Grill and Bar & Fete Catering and Ballroom, Sarasota Catering, Sights and Sounds, Tailored Twig, Tidy Coast, Treviso and uDream Events, and many donated items for prize drawings.

Major items were used and products bought specifically for the event: Major tent collections including clear tops, structured and high peaks were used as different venue spaces throughout the soiree. New linen lines were showcased, including Adele, Deco, Aloha and many Chevron patterns. New creative lighting fixtures were presented and hung throughout the warehouse and tents were often juxtaposed against unique wall installations by Concept Bait. Casino games and dealers were provided by Casino Planners. The Tailored Twig brought sophistication in table top floral design. LEDPRO lit up the night with enormous high resolution outdoor/indoor LED screens. Sights and Sounds provided festive music and more dramatic lighting displays, Boyle says.

Challenges and solutions: “A fierce wind and rain storm exploded onto the premises just minutes before the event started and continued for about 15 minutes,” Boyle says. “All was clear in time for the party, and U.S. Tent was ready with tent sidewalls and a tent covering by the valet stand. The September summer air was quite hot, so with the help of Paramount Power, all was beautifully cooled off in the spectacular tents.”

What went well: “The party was a huge success with nearly 400 in attendance experiencing all that U.S. Tent has to provide for rentals this upcoming events season in the Tampa Bay area,” Boyle says. “With careful planning with the entire U.S. Tent team, creative ideas were formulated into reality at this amazing event.”
