Premiere Party Central/Premiere Tents & Events: Taking upscale to a new level

Texas rental company adds a high-end boutique in Austin

Premiere Party Central/Premiere Tents & Events, Austin, Texas, has expanded to add a new facet to its business. Premiere Select: Distinctive Event Décor and Design is the company’s new rental gallery located near the University of Texas and is designed to showcase exclusive, high-end offerings for clients, says Delores Crum, CERP, president.

The entire showroom is a collection of vignettes, each with its own theme and background. The gallery also features amenities similar to that of a high-end fashion retail store, including hardwood floors, lounge seating, crystal chandeliers, framed art and specialty linens displayed on wooden hangers inside white cabinets.

“Opulence is in. Today’s events are all about glitz and glamour,” Crum says. “The objective of Premiere Select is to discover the event holder’s vision and match it to what Premiere has or can obtain to express that vision. That’s where the ‘distinctive event design’ comes in. Décor will include both what we have on hand and what we can create. So, it is a ‘boutique’ offering that is unique and distinctive in our market.”

An extension of the business, the upscale rental boutique is geared to high-end clientele and will include fine china, glassware, flatware and linens, as well as floral arrangements and décor from The Flower Studio and FloraFetish, both in Austin, and Brenda Abbott Floral Design of Bastrop, Texas.

Preliminary business planning for Premiere Select began more than 18 months ago and included customer input. “I provided a summary of that document to five customers whose opinions I value and trust. Based on our market research and their favorable reactions, we decided to move forward,” Crum says.

She adds that while team members will share delivery duties with Premiere Party Central, the company has planned for the additional services.

“The Premiere Select inventory requires an extra level of care, but we’ve planned and prepared for that contingency,” Crum says.

Kenneth Sharples, Premiere Select’s creative director, designed the gallery and says each item has been carefully chosen to provide high-end rental, décor and design alternatives previously only available in Houston, Dallas
or out of state.

“We believe that there is a luxury gap in Austin and Central Texas that Premiere Select can fill. Our goal is to present area event professionals and event holders with luxury décor and design options that marry contemporary products with timeless elegance,” Sharples says.

In addition to a new level of rental, design and inventory, the gallery will feature dedicated sales employees and “the ultimate in customer care,” Crum says. “The Premiere Select shopping experience will be incomparable. The exceptional products and level of service we’re promising to the market are, in my view, unprecedented in and around Austin.”

The gallery opened July 16 in the former Shoal Creek Gallery at Gabriel’s Court in central Austin, and the company held an open house on July 30.
