Fred and Sheri Hageman were in the Iowa-Illinois Quad-Cities in early July to experience the John Deere Classic, a major PGA golf tournament. Hageman had the top bid for the golf package at the ARA Foundation’s Reception With a Purpose and charity auction this past February at The Rental Show in Las Vegas.
The Hagemans’ tour included Deere’s Davenport Works plant in Davenport, Iowa; the John Deere Pavilion in Moline, Ill.; the Coal Valley, Ill., Deere facility; a round of golf with John Deere hosts Mary and Jim Winters; and a visit at the American Rental Association’s Moline headquarters. Saturday included a visit to the VIP tent at the John Deere Classic and a special dinner at John Deere headquarters in Moline. On Sunday, it was back to the Classic for the final round of play and to see 19-year-old Jordan Spieth win after five sudden-death playoff holes.
“We’ve received such personalized service and everyone has been so wonderful,” Hageman said. “It’s worth every penny you give to the ARA Foundation. We want to offer a special thank you to John Deere, Mary and Jim Winters, ARA and the ARA Foundation. We’re going to remember this trip forever."
