Fiscal full-year revenue for Sunbelt Rentals, Fort Mill, S.C., up 23 percent versus the previous year. Sunbelt’s operating profits also grew 79 percent to $289.9 million, helping Sunbelt’s parent company, Ashtead Group Plc, record a company record fiscal year-end, pre-tax profit of $203.5 million.

Number of equipment categories that accounted for 87 percent of all construction equipment recoveries documented by LoJack, Canton, Mass., in 2011. According to LoJack’s 12th annual Construction Equipment Theft Study released in mid-June, 58 percent of the equipment stolen and recovered also was five years old or less. The top four categories of equipment most frequently stolen are:

1. Light utility/work trucks and trailers (36 percent)

2. Backhoe loaders/skip loaders/wheel loaders/track loaders (26 percent)

3. Skid-steers (14 percent)

4. Generators/air compressors/welders (11 percent)

The amount of renewable energy the 229-kW photovoltaic solar power system installed at the Hertz Corp. global headquarters building in Park Ridge, N.J., is expected to produce on an annual basis. The Park Ridge installation is part of a multi-site undertaking that is the first of several anticipated Hertz solar projects nationwide.

Number of years Area Rent-Alls, Westminster, Colo., has been in business. The company, run by Linda Jones, marked its 50th anniversary on June 13, 2012. The company was founded as S&K United Rentals by Jones’ parents, Ronald and Dorothy Kiely, and her grandparents, Loren and Velda Stark. The store has been an American Rental Association (ARA) member since 1962.

Number of years Komatsu Equipment Co., a Komatsu dealership based in Salt Lake City, has been in business. The company was founded in 1952 as Rocky Mountain Machinery Co. and merged with Pioneer Equipment Co. in 1997 to form Komatsu Equipment Co.

The number of software systems that have now been installed by Point-of-Rental™ Systems, Grand Prairie, Texas. The 1,500th installation was in a Wyoming Cat Rental Store and part of Wyoming Rents’ company-wide software conversion of its seven rental locations throughout Wyoming.
