||JCB compact track loader
The 260T compact track loader from JCB, Savannah, Ga., is a single-arm machine with a side entrance. The loader has an SAE-rated operating capacity of 2,600 lbs. and net engine power of 84.5 hp. It comes standard with centrifugal dry type engine filter with safety element, a loader arm safety strut and emergency lower valve. The machine is available with an open canopy, cab with heat or cab with heat and air conditioning.
|Loftness mulching head attachment
The Carbide Cutter G3 mulching head attachment for skid-steers from Loftness, Hector, Minn., is available in 51-, 61- and 71-in. cutting widths. All models are offered with a variety of carbide-tipped and heat-treated steel teeth to match job applications. The G3 features a two-stage cutting chamber with staggered counter teeth and a shear bar. An optional primary-stage shear bar also is available for ultra-fine mulching. The mulching heads operate at 1,700 to 2,150 RPM and feature a four-groove banded belt drive with spring-loaded tensioner. It comes standard with a fixed-displacement, piston-style motor that delivers hydraulic power at 97 percent efficiency, the company says.
||Gravely, an Ariens Co. brush cutter
The Pro-24 brush cutter from Gravely, an Ariens Co., Brillion, Wis., is designed for clearing dense vegetation, including brush and tree saplings up to 1.5 in. in diameter. The brush cutter comes with an 11.5-hp, 344cc Briggs & Stratton Intek series engine and has a 24-in. cutting width with a 3.3-in. cutting height and a blade tip speed of 16,100 ft. per minute. It has a 0.3-gal. fuel tank and travels up to 4.7 mph.
|TurfEx leaf pusher
The TLP060 leaf pusher from TurfEx, a division of TrynEx International, Madison Heights, Mich., is a 60-in.-by-27-in. attachment that mounts to the top of the company’s Thatch, Groom ‘N’ Sweep Package. A lift kit also is available for raising the attachment off the ground when not in use.
The Mantis XP tiller from Mantis, Div. of Schiller Grounds Care, Southampton, Pa., has a 35cc Honda four-cycle engine that drives the tines up to 240 rpm. The tine banks can be set to either a 9- or 16-in. width and the patented serpentine tines are designed to slice through sod and hard, compact soil up to 10 in. deep, the company says. The 34-lb. machine also has fold-down arms.
|Gehl compact track loader
The CTL75 compact track loader from Gehl, West Bend, Wis., comes with the company’s All-Tach attachment mounting system, including hydraulic self-leveling and an interlock system for lift, tilt cylinders, auxiliary hydraulic functions and drives. The CTL775 is rated for 50 percent tipping capacity of
2,976 lbs. and has a maximum lift height of 122.9 in. The machine is powered by a Yanmar liquid-cooled diesel engine.
|JP Carlton stump cutter
The SP4012TRX hydraulic-controlled stump grinder from JP Carlton, Spartanburg, S.C., is self-propelled and has a rubber track undercarriage. The TRX version offers numerous engine options, including gasoline and diesel from 27hp up to 44hp. These engine options include Kohler, Subaru, Vanguard and Kubota. The SP4012TRX also is available with lever controls, wired remote control or wireless remote control. The SP4012TRX uses a rubber high track system that incorporates multiple idler rollers and spring tensioning designed to keep the track at optimal efficiency for running and tracking characteristics, the company says.
||Little Wonder blower
The self-propelled Optimax blower line from Little Wonder/Mantis, Div. of Schiller Grounds Care, Southampton, Pa., has larger discharge chute openings, up to 25 sq. in., depending on the model. Most models also have a remote split-stream air deflector control that can be adjusted from the operator’s handle, which is cushion-gripped and height adjustable. A low air discharge chute is positioned 2 in. off the ground to provide leveled airflow out of the chute for dispersal of debris.
PK Products sprayers
PK spot sprayers from PK Products, North Mankato, Minn., are designed for turf and lawn care, including applying insecticides and herbicides. They are available in two sizes, 15 and 25 gal., and are made in the U.S. All spot sprayers come standard with a
premium 15-ft. coiled hose, deluxe handgun with
adjustable nozzle and a choice of self-priming pumps. The company says the tanks come standard with an easy-to-read fluid gauge and a 5-in. lid with screen and large tethered fill cap for filling.
||Bradco stump grinder
The Bradco stump grinder by Paladin Construction Group, Dexter, Mich., attaches to skid-steers for stump removal. Users can choose from cutting depths up to 10- or 12-in. below ground with a multi-directional tooth pattern that permits cutting from side-to-side and vertically. Optional square-threaded single-bolt teeth or shark-style universal bolt-on teeth are available. The stump grinder is available in both standard-flow and high-flow models. The company says the offset design allows for better visibility and the ability to use the stump grinder in tight spaces around buildings, homes, trees and other obstacles. The built-in grouser pads are designed to provide cutting stability and grip for uneven ground and hillsides.
| Terex Woodsman chipper
The Terex Woodsman 705 towable disc brush chipper from Terex Construction, Southampton, Miss., has a 6-in. capacity with a 6-in.-by-10-in. infeed opening. The cutting system has a 30-in.-diameter disc with 4 ½-in.-by-4-in.-by-5-in. knives. The operating weight of the Woodsman 705 is 2,050 lbs.
|| Hawk Equipment Corp. stump grinder
The compact version of the push stump grinder from Hawk Equipment Corp., Newbury, Ohio, has a shorter handle that folds over the engine for transport and a shorter frame that is lower to the ground. The stump grinder has a 14-in. cutter wheel with a 13/16-in. shaft and eight individual replaceable teeth.
|Kasco Manufacturing spreader
The Herd Model 2011SCP scoop and spreader from Kasco Manufacturing, Shelbyville, Ind., mounts on a skid-steer and has an agitator system designed to spread any combination of wet or dry sand, salt or calcium chloride. The unit can handle 1,200 lbs. wet sand or 12 cu. ft. of material and has a hydraulic motor drive with cable controls and a 10-gauge steel hopper with a powder-coated finish.
Aerators from Classen, Div. of Schiller Grounds Care, Southampton, Pa., come with the company’s patented split-drive technology designed to allow the operator to steer, turn and aerate an entire job without removing the tines from the ground, the company says. The TA-17D has a Honda GX 120 engine, a 16.25-in. aerating width and can aerate 19,333 sq. ft. per hour, the company says.
