Make sure you receive Rental Pulse and important ARA messages
02/08/2011

Everyone receives unwanted e-mails or spam. As a result, many people go to great lengths to filter it out. However, this means some good messages might not reach you and you may not receive your weekly edition of Rental Pulse, the e-mail message with the link to the latest Rental Management DIGITAL option or miss important information from the American Rental Association (ARA).

To make sure you receive Rental Pulse as well as messages from Rental Management and ARA in your inbox, make sure to add the “ARArental.org” domain to your “safe sender” or approved list in your e-mail program.

For example, in Microsoft Outlook, if you find Rental Pulse, a message from Rental Management or something from ARA in your junk e-mail or spam folder instead of your inbox, follow these steps:

1. Open the message.

2. Click on “Safe Lists” in the message tool bar.

3. Click on “Add sender’s domain (@example.com) to Safe Senders list.

The process is similar for other e-mail programs that send filtered messages into a spam or junk e-mail folder. If you need help, contact your IT person.

Also be aware that some business and home e-mail accounts may have two, three or more layers of spam protection. If that is the case, you need to make sure that you are allowing your wanted e-mail to make it through at each level.
