Debbie Herriott Stumph, a partner in Herriott’s Rents Tents Events, Champaign, Ill., has been named as one of the 2009 “20 Outstanding Women You Should Know” by the Illini Radio Group, Champaign, Ill.

Since 1996, Stumph has been active in the American Rental Association (ARA) and has served on the education committee, chaired the Events Task Force and received the Next Generation Outstanding Leadership Award, as well as contributing to RENTAL MANAGEMENT magazine.

“What an honor it is to be selected and be in this elite group of women,” Stumph said. “It makes all of the time and effort over the years worth it even more.”

Stumph got started in the equipment rental industry when her grandfather passed away in 1985 and the family decided to continue the business, focusing on party and event rental. In January 2005, her husband, Brian, joined the company as general manager. In addition to the rental business, Stumph has been on the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors, Champaign-Urbana Junior Woman’s Club Executive Board, the Green Meadows Girl Scouts Board of Directors and is a current member of the Central Illinois Youth Football Board of Directors.
