Roe named ARA president-elect

The ARA election results are in and the following members have been elected to the ARA Board of Directors:
President-Elect Hal Roe, president, Bradley Rentals, Cleveland, Tenn.
Associate Member Director Michael Tharpe, sales and marketing director, TopTec Products, Laurens, S.C.
Region Three Director Ben Cooke, manager, Cooke Rentals, Mount Airy, N.C.
Region Six Director William Saunders, vice president of operations, Bledsoe Rentals, Olathe, Kan.
Region Seven Director Joseph Muench, president, Action Equipment Rental, Las Cruces, N.M.
Region Eight Director Mike Blaisdell, vice president/general manager, Bunce Rental, Tacoma, Wash.
Region Ten Director Rhonda Pedersen, vice president of customer services, Pedersens Rentals & Sales, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
Ben Cooke will begin his board term immediately as Region Three Director, filling an unexpired term previously held by Patsy Fulcher from Havelock, N.C., who left the rental business. The remaining directors will begin their terms in March 2009, at the conclusion of The Rental Show in Atlanta. At that time, the following directors will complete their terms on the board: Howard Heller, Associate Member Director; Chris Ruddy, Region Six Director; Jeff Henderson, Region Seven Director; Dave Rose, Region Eight Director and Andrew Paquette, CERP, Region Ten Director.
Randall Hardy, president of Construction Rental, in Salina, Kan., was named by President-Elect Buddy Stubbs to a three-year term on the board as chairman of the Construction & Industrial Services Shared Interest Group. He will assume the position currently held by Hal Roe.
Stubbs also appointed Region Four Director Harold Sater of A & A Tents in Shreveport, La., and Region Nine Director Ted Cook of Ventura Rental Center in Ventura, Calif., to serve alongside the officers on the 2009 Executive Committee for one-year terms, which also begin on the final day of The Rental Show 2009.
