Party Products: Outdoor equipment

This month, Rental Management looks at tents as well as equipment used to provide power and climate control.

Subaru generators

The inverter generators from Subaru Industrial Power Products, Lake Zurich, Ill., include the R1700i at 1,650W, the RG3200iS at 3,200W and the RG4300iS at 4,300W. The company says the advanced inverter technology significantly reduces running sound because the inverter generators run the engine at a slower speed for low power use and automatically increase speed as more electrical power is required. Further sound reduction is achieved through an advanced reverse cooling design that allows the generators to be fully enclosed in a sound-absorbing, polyresin enclosure.

Cool-A-Zone evaporative fan

The C-400 evaporative fan from Cool-A-Zone, Houston, has a cooling capacity of 4,000 sq. ft., a three-speed 1-hp fan and maximum air delivery of 15,000 cfm. The 249-lb. fan has a 37-gal. water reservoir, a built-in debris filter and a standard automatic shut-down feature to prevent pump burnout.

Sure Flame heater

The IX410 indirect industrial heater from Sure Flame, Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, can change from natural gas to propane with the switch of a single lever. The heater also can accept 16-in. duct with optional transitions for two 12-in. or one 18-in. duct and has four safety shutdown controls. The company says the IX410 is designed to allow for recirculation to increase efficiency and reduce fuel consumption while maintaining constant, clean dry heat.

Schaefer Fan tent fan

The model No. VK12TF-SPM-W tent fan from Schaefer Fan, Sauk Rapids, Minn., is white to help blend with tents and has a longer cord with an on/off switch. The pole-mounted fan also has an adjustable bracket.

Anchor Industries tent

The Century® Tent system from Anchor Industries, Evansville, Ind., is comprised of ends, mids and center sections designed to adapt to virtually any configuration. The company says web guys are used for tensioning and can be used in conjunction with Anchor’s web tensioning bars for stability. Lace lines are protected by a seal that keeps rain out. Sizes range from 40 ft. to 120 ft. wide.

Wacker Neuson portable generators

The 11 portable generator models from Wacker Neuson Sales Americas, Menomonee Falls, Wis., range from 2,500 to 6,600W and weigh from 95 to 206 lbs. The models are offered with electric start, wheel kits and Honda or Wacker Neuson engines. Six of the models include a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) system for all receptacles and have 120V and 240V twist locks.

Olympic Tent/The SEC Group value sidewall

The value sidewall from Olympic Tent, Tacoma, Wash., and the SEC Group, Wilsonville, Ore., is available in 13-oz. translucent or 16-oz. block-out fabric in a variety of sizes with numerous top and side detail options as well as window options for any event or tent configuration.

Flagro USA portable electric heater

The FLE-60 portable electric heater from Flagro USA, Burnsville, Minn., can operate as a 20-, 40- or 60-kW heater by turning a switch. The motor comes standard with a variable frequency drive (VFD), which the company says allows consistent heat rise no matter which setting the heater is on.

Doosan Portable Power generator

The G325 portable generator for Doosan Portable Power, Statesville, N.C., is powered by a Cummins QSL9 engine with cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR). The 9.0-liter engine is integrated with a Cummins particulate filter exhaust after-treatment system and incorporates a high-pressure fuel injection system to meet Tier 4i emission standards. The generator uses a Leroy Somer alternator to produce 325 kVA/260 kW of electrical power.

Aztec Tents tent

The Tidewater tent from Aztec Tents, Torrance, Calif., is available in sizes up to 59 ft. by 139 ft., which will cover 7,700 sq. ft. of event space. The Tidewater Series pole tents have a sailcloth top with rounded ends, highly translucent and light permeable fabric, catenary eave line, welded seams and one-piece construction. The king and queen center poles have star reinforcement points.

Multiquip hydrogen fuel-cell generators

The MQ H2G EarthSmart™ hydrogen fuel-cell-powered generator from Multiquip, Carson, Calif., is designed to be environmentally friendly, pollution-free and does not produce particulate emission. Because the machine does not use fossil fuel sources, no combustion occurs in the process. The H2G can be operated for up to 26 hours at full load and produces a noise level of 44 dB at 23 ft.

Celina Tent windowed sidewall

The Panorama sidewall from Celina Tent, Celina, Ohio, is available in 7- and 8-ft. heights and 20-, 30- and 40-ft. lengths. The sidewall is made from 16-oz. block-out vinyl. The windows are clear, double-polished soft PVC glass vinyl. The non-scratch window lines are encapsulated between double-polish PVC. Plastic 1-in. clips are sewn across the top. The walls are designed for a 15-in. overlap, so an 8-ft.-by-30-ft. sidewall is actually 8 ft. by 32.5 ft.

Baldor Electric Co. generator

The TG10 towable generator from Baldor Electric Co., Fort Smith, Ark., is a single-phase unit, rated at 10 kVA. The TG10 meets current emission requirements with a Kubota engine. It has a powder-coated steel enclosure, 50-gal. fuel tank and is available with an optional light tower kit. It has a recessed receptacle panel for extra protection against weather and a standard digital controller to manage the generator.

Vitabri Canopies pop-up tents

The V2 pop-up tents from Vitabri Canopies, Huntington Beach, Calif., can be unfolded in 30 seconds, the company says. The V2 has M2 fire-resistant PVC panels and aluminum cast connecting parts. The V2 is available with polyester or acrylic panels.

Charnecke Tents tent

The Pro Series II tent from Charnecke Tents, Rosholt, Wis., is an enhanced version of the Pro Series Tent, which is made of 16- to 18-oz. blackout white vinyl that is flame-retardant and mildew-resistant. The company says the Pro Series II has a deeper, more graceful curve between the center poles without having to increase the center pole height. The higher profile tent comes in sizes from 20 ft. wide to 80 ft. wide.

Cummins mobile generators

The C150D6R and C200D6R mobile generator sets from Cummins Power Generation, Minneapolis, are certified to Tier 4i emissions levels. The models are rated at 150 kW and 200 kW, and have sound-attenuated enclosures, standard camlock distribution panels and standard auxiliary fuel valves for external tank connection. The three-position lockable voltage selector is designed to prevent accidental actuation.
