When The Rental Show 2013 returns to Las Vegas Feb. 10-13, it will be in a new location — The Sands Expo and Convention Center located near the center of the famous Las Vegas Strip.
While it is being held in a new venue, the world’s largest equipment rental industry-specific convention and trade show, organized by the American Rental Association (ARA), will continue to offer unparalleled educational and networking opportunities for attendees through a variety of seminars and events.
In addition, there is the 555,000-sq.-ft. trade show floor with more than 550 exhibitors offering products and services covering the entire spectrum of equipment for the industry’s main segments — construction/industrial, general tool/homeowner and party/special event.
As of mid-September, the entire exhibit hall was virtually sold out, creating the kind of marketplace attendees look forward to each year as 80 percent of 2012 show attendees surveyed by Exhibit Surveys said seeing new products was the reason they came to The Rental Show.
“Finding and purchasing new products are the main reasons attendees come to The Rental Show,” says Allison Box, ARA’s senior administrative director for association services. “They’re serious about profit and they know the show is the place to find money-making solutions. In fact, the emphasis on buying at The Rental Show is unique for the trade show industry overall — with nearly double the industry average number of attendees planning to buy products or services they saw on the show floor.”
Of those surveyed, 65 percent said the reason they come is to make a purchase or place an order and 83 percent of those 2012 attendees surveyed said they were planning to buy one or more of the products/services they saw at the show.
Those attendees last year also said 49 percent of their annual purchases are made at or as a direct result of attending The Rental Show.
As in previous years, the trade show floor will be on one floor, encompassing halls A, B and C of The Sands Expo and Convention Center.
The trade show food court will be sponsored by BlueBird, Chicago Pneumatic Construction Equipment, Husqvarna Professional Outdoor Products and Rouse Analytics. The trade show rest stop on the show floor is sponsored by Kohler Engines.
The Sands Expo and Convention Center, located at 201 Sands Ave., opened in 1990 across the street from the original Sands Hotel, a historic hotel/casino on the Strip from 1952 to 1996. The Venetian, the show’s official headquarters hotel, now occupies the original Sands Hotel site and is connected to the convention center.

A special Internet-only rate of $119 for full registration is available for ARA members through Oct. 31 and includes all three days of the trade show, the keynote session on Feb. 11 and educational seminars on Feb. 10, 12 and 13.
