A.R.A.'s first Construction University will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.,
Feb. 7, in the Las Vegas Convention Center just prior to the 43rd Annual
A.R.A. Convention and Rental Trade Show.
This new education program is tailor-made for the construction equipment
rental industry and is designed to increase profits. Some of the topics
of the program follow.
- Discover the most common - but undetected - areas of rental operations
that keep you from getting maximum utilization from your rental fleet.
- Are you really set up for customer service? When the customer needs
an earlier store opening or later store closings, are you ready? How are
you adjusting to longer hours brought about by customer demand and new
competition?
- Learn how to manage the delivery fleet to handle daily peaks in activity
without carrying the overhead. Learn about "outsourcing" and
how it might work for you.
- Find out how to handle a situation when your customer demand exceeds
your inventory supply. Learn how to keep your inventory flexible to keep
up with seasonal peaks and valleys. Learn to be a better asset manager.
- Discover the simple things you can do to make your rental facility
user-friendly. Discuss store layout techniques and facility layout and
how to use that to your advantage.
- Discuss competition and consolidation and how they affect your rental
business.
- Let your computer help you increase profits. By having your computer
work smarter, you can develop a profitable relationship with each of your
customers - simply by asking the right questions at the point of contact
with any customer.
- Learn how to get the most out of your equipment. Learn the proper applications
to help you increase rentals and profits, along with additional products
that mean increased revenue.
CU's registration fee includes continental breakfast, breaks, lunch and
educational materials.
