The Meetinghouse Cos., Elmhurst, Ill., has promoted John Dunne to vice president ­ warehouse operations, Margarita Heinzel, CSEP, to vice president ­ special events, and Bill Kubiak to vice president ­ technical operations.

Bruce Stanert has been appointed a sales and marketing representative for Building Concepts, the West Coast sales group for Eureka! Party Tents, Binghamton, N.Y. Eureka's northeastern sales group, R.A. Markert & Associates, has named Dale DeFilipps as sales support representative and Edward Warner as sales representative.

 

ISES to honor Mueller-Farber

The International Special Events Society (ISES) will sponsor an award in memory of Trysh Mueller-Farber, A.R.A.'s director of education who died of cancer in March. In her A.R.A. position, she worked closely with ISES. The ISES June EventWorld publication stated, "She worked tirelessly to bring members of the event industry together with members of the rental industry so that they might form partnerships or seize upon expansion opportunities."

ISES officials said criteria for the award have not yet been established, but the recipient will receive attendance at the annual ISES Conference for Professional Development.

 

Falcon buys Shelby Williams

Falcon Products of St. Louis recently acquired Shelby Williams Industries, Chicago. A.R.A. associate member King Arthur is a division of Shelby Williams.

Both companies manufacture commercial furniture. After the transaction, Falcon has 14 manufacturing facilities around the world with more than 3,900 employees.

Members of Shelby Williams' senior management team remained with Falcon. The transaction was unanimously approved by the boards of directors of both companies.
