What is the status and condition of your training system? Is it failing to produce the desired quality changes that you want? Is it no longer effectively supporting your company goals and strategic plan? Is it failing to produce the growth and professionalism in your people at a rate that will ensure your company's competitiveness now and in the future? Are you no longer adding to and improving the presentations, materials and information presented to managers, employees and customers?

If your answers are uncertain or a definite "yes," then the question is: Can you afford a run-down training system that isn't doing the job? Can you afford the cost of poor equipment maintenance? Can you afford to lose customers because of poor customer service? Can you afford accounting/billing errors or increased insurance and medical costs for on-the-job injuries?

Training does not cost - it pays. Some companies with highly effective, well maintained training programs have calculated that their return for training is $30 for every dollar invested.

How much are you investing in your employees, your training program and the future of your company? It is axiomatic that the return is proportional to your investment. Failure to continually invest guarantees that your training system will begin running down - and the decline of your business won't be far behind.

Don't it slide. Training pays.
