Visit A.R.A.’s new online home page today for news and updates — virtually as they happen — about your industry and association, including election results, pending legislation and opportunities to build your business through beneficial association programs. Check important industry dates, rental industry stock quotes and even national headlines and the weather outlook.

The site’s bright new look organizes the vast quantity of information that was on the old site, making everything easier to find. It also offers new and improved services. In addition to keeping up with industry and association news, you can:

• Shop online for the products in your 2000 A.R.A. Products Today catalog.

• Assess the status of legislative issues in the “2000 State Legislative Report” and the “Report on the 106th Congress.”

• Contact your state/local association through lists of current officers and association Web site links, and check meeting schedules and current issues as association leaders provide them for the site. 

Some areas of the site are just for members. In this section, you can find your favorite vendors and products online. Your A.R.A.-member identification number and zip code are your passwords to find A.R.A.’s associate members by categories of equipment and by services, and to find equipment by brand name.

This site also includes sections where you can order Rental Equipment Industry Foundation training videos online for management and employee education. 

Update your inventory service codes online, so the equipment you rent will appear in your listing under “Find a Rental Store.” 

The “Find a Rental Store” feature drives business to your store. It’s for customers who visit A.R.A.’s Web site to rent equipment.

Soon, A.R.A. will host a separate Web site for consumers, from contractors to homeowners to event planners and brides. And A.R.A. is in the process of developing an 866 toll-free number that locates member-businesses for customers looking for specific equipment. 

Make sure your equipment is listed correctly. In the “Just for Members” section, select “Update Information Online.” Change any information listed, from your business address to your inventory mix, and review every product listed in your inventory. Just check the codes that apply. Uncheck the codes that don’t.

Rental Management also has a new Web home that is separate from the new A.R.A. Web site. The new site is located at http://www.rentalmanagementmag.com. Here you can research management topics in the latest issues of A.R.A.’s official publication, including cover stories, Counter & Yard Management articles, columns, news, features and classifieds. You can search the archives for articles that have appeared in past issues of Rental Management, e-mail the magazine staff and download the RM media kit.
